72 Hours - Television Advertisement Video

(A knock is heard. A young boy, father, mother and grandmother run to the front door in their home with flashlights. The number "72" appears in a circle at the bottom right corner of the screen above the word "hours". The door opens to reveal a firefighter.)

Voiceover: "Will you be ready to take care of your family..."

(The family smiles and greets the firefighter.)

Voiceover: "...for 72 hours in an emergency?"

(The scene transitions to the same family playing a board game in the dark. The boy uses a hand crank lantern for light. The number, now in the colour red, rapidly counts down to "48".)

Voiceover: "Will you have food, water..."

(The number rapidly counts down to "28" as the scene changes to the same family in the kitchen, in the daylight, making a bean salad together from canned beans and vegetable oil.)

Voiceover: "...cash and medication?"

(The number rapidly counts down to "5" as the scene changes to the same family using a flashlight to check their kit's inventory.)

Voiceover: "Will you be able to keep up-to-date..."

(The mother listens intently to the portable radio. Transition to the inside of a closet where we see the emergency kit. The number rapidly counts down to 2. The father, carrying a flashlight, takes the kit out of the closet.)

(The number rapidly counts down to "0" as the scene changes to the same family sitting at home and watching TV. The lights and power go out to the sound of thunder and a rainstorm outside.)
